Before I began my journey to studying theology more seriously, I felt both excited and overwhelmed. I wasn’t in seminary, I wasn’t taking a formal course, and I wasn’t even sure where to start. But I had a hunger I couldn’t ignore: a desire to know God more deeply through His Word and to study in a way that was faithful, rich, and life-giving.
So I started by first just reading the Bible all the way through. This, hands down, was the best decision of my life. Reading it through has truly helped me see the overall story of the Bible, and that’s where I would recommend everyone to start. The tools listed below are the resources I used to help me accomplish this goal. I spent the last two years only using those resources, which were more than enough!
These resources helped me understand Scripture more clearly and form a rhythm of study that actually worked in my real life.
